Overview
Zhuilu Old Trail, built across the precipitous Zhuilu Cliff, was part of the Japanese Colonial Period Old Cross Hehuan Mountain Road.The trail is only around one-meter-wide and cuts across the clidd around 500 meters above the Liwu River gorge, offering magnificent views of Taroko Gorge.
At one point on the hike you will be higher above the river below than the height of Taipei 101. Permits especially for holidays and weekends must be applied for in advance due to the popularity of the hike.
